Signed and dated "RobertAustin.1926." in pencil l.c., initialed within the plate, identified on labels including one from M. Knoedler & Co., New York, affixed to the backing. Engraving on paper, plate size 6 7/8 x 6 3/8 in. (17.4 x 16.2 cm), framed. Condition: Toning, not examined out of frame. Provenance: Descendants of the Lanier family of Indiana and New York. N.B. The puppeter may be a self-portrait.
