Yellow-painted Covered Round Box, America, 19th century, the bent wood sides with eagle painted on front, the top and bottom each formed of one turned piece of wood, the turned wood lid with handle and red painted leaf pattern decoration, the lid secures to the box by two diamond-shaped cleats attached to the underside of the lid by square cut nails, (imperfections), ht. 7, dia. 9 in.
