Onyx and Gilt-bronze Neoclassical-style Garniture, France, late 19th century, clock with sculpture of Sappho with base inscribed "Jacques Pradier" for Jean-Jacques Pradier (1790-1852) and Susse Fres foundry mark, movement marked "Jx Deniere a Paris," champleve frieze; candelabra each with stork on turtle finial, drip cups with lotus, and serpentine armature extending from body with onyx and champleve band, supported by gilt-bronze figures atop onyx and champleve base, lion paw feet, clock ht. 16 1/2, wd. 15 1/2, candelabra ht. 27 in. Provenance: Property of a Boston Area Philanthropist.
