After Alfred Barye (France, 1839-1882) Bronze Arab Cavalier , the man on horseback, signed by artist, Paris Foundry mark on base, ht. 28 in. N.B. Alfred Barye was the son of renowned French Animalier sculptor Antoine-Louis Barye. Well regarded in his own right, he exhibited at the Paris Salon in 1864, 1865, and 1866 (for his horse-themed sculptures) and in 1882, the year of his death.
