Barry Walton (English, 20th cent. ), "Torso with Setting", patinated bronze, apparently unsigned. Figural sculpture depicting twisting female torso; overall bronze polished and patinated with scattered areas of raw, textured bronze throughout (specifically on belly, lower back, arms and neck); mounted with two rods to stained board with perpendicular incised lines. Approximate height with board 17.5", width 11", depth 5". Provenance: John Whibley Gallery Ltd., London, whereby acquired by the Estate of Joseph Gilbert of Atlanta, Georgia on 2/26/69.
