Saturday Evening Girls Creamer and Sugar Hand-decorated pottery Decorated by Albania Mangini for Celia Goodman, both SEG decorators, Boston, Massachusetts, 1920 Pitcher and covered sugar: each with a circular landscape medallion with house decoration, in white, green, and brown glazes on two-tone blue ground with black line accents, artist initialed, nick to pitcher spout, ht. 4 1/4, 4 in. Provenance: Celia Goodman's wedding dishes, descended in the family. Note: It was the custom that the girls decorated for each other as a wedding gift. SEG decorator Sarah Galner's wedding service is part of the collection of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, Massachusetts.
