Five Art Deco Souvenir Burlwood Boxes Inlaid wood, paint, fabric France, c. 1930 Each with a scene on the exterior of lid: a painted scene of a man bringing flowers to a woman; an inlaid top and bottom with a woman's leg, tobacco utensils, drinking glasses and bottle, a view from a door, and the date Feb. 4th 1891, the interior lined with fabric; a white Scottish terrier; a woman at a bar with a dog; and two boxers in the ring, unmarked, approx. 2 3/4 x 3 1/4 x 1/2 to 3 1/4 x 5 x 1/2 in.
