Louis XVI-style Ormolu-mounted Kingwood-veneered Vitrine, in the manner of François Linke (1855-1946), the slender case with canted corners, conforming marble top, and single door with beveled glass, the pendant apron with a gilt-copper bas-relief plaque of children at play in the style of David Teniers the Younger, raised on short cabriole legs terminating in sabot-mounted feet, chalk number "13" to reverse, ht. 67, wd. 30, dp. 16 in. Provenance: Purchased in 1982 at Manheim Galleries. A copy of the original receipt and photograph of the vitrine in the gallery accompany the lot.
