With corner vignettes depicting allegorical representations of the four continents and two spheres illustrating the Copernican and Ptolemaic solar systems. The design of the map is after the second world Bible maps produced by Nicolaas Visscher, Dutch text to verso. Framed and matted in double-sided glass frame. Size of frame 19 1/2 x 25 1/4 inches.
