Ingadina Bassa: Jacob Dorta, 1679. Folio, contemporary calf with brass ornaments, five title pages, the elaborate woodcut border used for the first general title (variation) and the NT title contains representations of the four Evangelists, Moses and Aaron, and the Creation, narrow, ornamental borders are used for the other three titles. An exceptionally rare bible, translated from Hebrew and Greek into Romansch by Jacob Dorta, of Vulpera, and Jacob Antonio Vulpius, then pastor at Schule. [1], *5 (second title, preface and table), 753, [1 blank with mss notations], [2 inserted leaves], (title page dated 1678) 286, [lacking blank], (NT title within woodcut border) 332, (Apocrypha title) 140, ending QQQq2 with list of errata. Printer's device to verso of final leaf. First general title differs from Darlow-Moule and appears to be a variation of the NT title page; first and second title page and six leaves to follow on inserted leaves with some restoration; lacking one blank; a few repaired corners and tears, some significant, but all closed.
