Founded upon that of Sir Anthony Fitzherbert. London: Richard Tottyl, September 29, 1586. 2 vols. in one. Folio, later embossed calf. The last, and only folio, edition of Brooke's digest of all of the cases in England up to his time, largely drawing upon Fitzherbert's work, but including a sections at the end called, "Brooke's new cases," wherein he quotes many cases from his own tenure as Judge and Chief Justice of the Common Pleas. Upper board detached; spine split; wear to pages with chipping to edges and dampstaining.
