Edited by Helfert and Herzig. Vienna: Max Herzig, n.d. [1908] Thick Folio, publisher's ornate gilt-pictorial red cloth with gilt-embossed inset of a crown and title, pictorial endpapers. A massive work in the style of the Viennese secession, the text in double columns set within ornate foliate borders, profusely illustrated with full-page sepia-toned plates of famous artworks, each with captioned tissue guards, all hinged. Fading and very light dampstaining to cloth; some very light spotting.
