Italian, early 20th century. A paint and parcel gilt decorated wood carved chandelier having robin's egg blue ground and parcel gilt painted leafy wrapped cylindrical stem over a parcel gilt acanthus carved and baluster shaft issuing six scrolled candlearms headed with parcel gilt carved acanthus and ending in a candlecup with parcel gilt leafy rim and simulated wax candlesleeve, the whole terminating in a parcel gilt foliate finial. Approximate height 41", with additional 24" chain, diameter 31". Provenance: Purchased from Edgar-Reeves Interiors, 425 Peachtree Hills Ave., Atlanta, GA 30305 whereby acquired by a Private Collection in Atlanta, Georgia.
