381: Rare19th C Barbados Double Sailors Valentine

Rare Museum Quality 19th Century Barbados Octagonal Double Sailor's Valentine. Inscribed in Ink on the box "Presented to my Dear Mother Aug 8 1859". Decorated with the saying "Think of Me". Each Side Measures 2-1/2 inches tall Closed. 9 inches wide. Opened it is 18 Inches Wide. Condition-Very Good with one small repair to the inside strip molding and having a 1/1/2" crack to the wood on the outside of case. Three Small Pea Shells from the right side have come loose and need to be reglued. Good original finish. See extra Pictures. We will not ship this Item.
