Manuscript on paper, Dutch, late seventeenth-early eighteenth-century. 4to, contemporary blind-stamped calf, paper spine label, 413 leaves, contemporary foliation (406) interrupted by three leaves after f.230 and four leaves after f.406, staves in single column, mostly eight lines, textual portions in double column, 29-35 lines, written in dark brown ink and red ink, painted initials throughout in red ink, one illuminated initial in green and pink with foliate decoration (f.195), a large historiated initial in red, pink, green and yellow with an interpretation of the Holy Spirit (f.109v), capitals touched in red, many contemporary additions and alterations, including insertion of leaves, largely untrimmed with original medieval indexing tabs, many incorporating Dutch engravings and hand-coloring. No colophon; dating based on chant of Joseph of Cupertino (f.205), dates, and Office of Saint Vincent de Paul (f.[ii] unpaginated), who was canonized in 1705.
