19th century, depicting the story of the Buddha and the demon Hariti, having multiple seals including a spurious signature of Qiu Ying, having colophon at the end of the scroll giving a description of the scene, signed and sealed Gaoyang Xuchu (contemporary of Qiu Ying), followed by additional calligraphic inscriptions by various scholars, followed by 17 collectors' seals, mounted in multiple glazed frames. Length of painting 175 x width 12 1/2 inches.
