Venice: Balleoniana, 1759. Folio, contemporary Italian red morocco gilt, cover with foliate borders with side and corner floral sprays, small centerpiece on both covers of St. Francis receiving the stigmata and Christ on the cross, two foliate silver clasps present, gilt and gauffered edges. Light brownspotting; Brentano's of New York blind-stamp lower right corner f.f.e.p.; very light darkening to boards; else near fine in beautifully elaborate binding.
