the pear shaped vases having decoration of sinuous dragons chasing the 'flaming pearl' upon a reserve of scrolling clouds, the top having two bands of key-fret borders flanking a scrolling foliate band above the waisted neck flanked by c-scroll handles issued from the mouths of beasts and hung with an oval ring enclosing two bands of decoration showing opposing dragons centered by a 'flaming pearl,' the splayed foot skirted by a band of stiff plantain leaf lappets above a panel containing the six character Qianlong reign mark contained in a scrolling foliate border, the base having a repetitive C-scroll band. Height 16 3/4 inches.
