First edition, first issue, with frontispiece, fold-out map with Straub imprint, and 13 plates depicting scenes of New Orleans. One of 500 copies printed with "D. H. Holmes" to the wrap. 1-inch tear to map and split slightly at the folds; wraps split at top and bottom portion of the upper hinge; light toning to wraps; first four pp. starting; map laid in.
