Paris: Lachevardiere, 1831 and 1834. 8vo, elaborately gilt-tooled morocco by Sangorski and Sutcliffe with matching felt-lined drop case, marbled endpapers, a.e.g. Fore edge painting of a Venetian cityscape and the canals with gondoliers. Autographed letter signed by Parisian bookseller and publisher L. Theophile Barrois, 2 pp., rue de Richelieu, (Paris), July 1832, address panel to verso of additional leaf. Intermittent foxing; front inner-hinge cracked, but strong; otherwise fine.
