A series of seven autographed letters signed to Stella Patrick Campbell, friendly social letters, generally humorous in tone: one written in doggerel verse (beginning, 'My dear Stella / I'm a feller / Not a bit like Herr Von Keller / Whose moustache & beard was yeller . . .'), another sending news from Baker Street ('We had a most terrific storm here yesterday, & it was awfully exciting dodging the thunderbolts. I thought one had got me fairly, but it just missed me, & killed a cow in Scotland'), thanking her for a card case, mentioning his work, wishing her success ('You will be a great Flavia'). 24 pp. 4to and 8vo. London (various addresses, including Royalty Theatre, Dean Street) and Ramsgate, 1901-1920. One letter trimmed; two others with some fraying and wear at the edges.
