The high profile trial in the House of Lords of a favorite of George I, and, from 1718, Lord Chancellor. Parker was sentenced for his crimes and made to pay a fine of £30,000 to the king (to be paid to the suitors) and to imprisonment in the Tower until the fine should be paid. Minor soiling and edgewear to boards; some dampstaining to pages; otherwise fine.
