Longatte and signed by him, upper edge gilt, titles in gilt to spine, mosaic design of inlaid color leathers to front board, untrimmed, decorative endpapers, original wrappers bound in, housed in binder's slipcase edged in leather. First edition. Number 165 of 225 copies printed on verge de Hollande paper from a total edition of 255, initialed in ink by the publisher Pelletan to the limitation page. The earlier unpublished poems by Emile Verhaeren are here illustrated by Artistide Maillol with 12 (including 2 full-page and 10 half-page with text) original lithographs and 3 original woodcuts. External hinges reinforced; otherwise in very fine condition.
