London: Macmillan, 1913. 8vo, blue cloth, pictorial endpapers. Signed and inscribed twice by the author, once to the f.f.e.p. and again with a personal note on the "Note" page that reads: "Dear Hayes: The chapters of this book I thought might be turned into a picture are the first three (or four) and then chapters X to XIII. To get a good perspective, reading the whole book would be better." Stefansson has also written above the pictorial frontispiece: "This picture is O.K. except for the snowhouse itself, which is far too irregular. V.S." Lacking dust jacket; some rubbing to boards.
