Continental School, 19th century. Two matching carved gilt wood lamps raised on tripod wood bases with mahogany finish and gilt banding. Lamp bases with Neoclassical pedestal form with fluting, acanthus leaf detail and Ionic scrolled capitals with urn form tops. Later converted into electrified lamps from carved gilt wood candlesticks. Overall height including harps 39.5 inches. Height of gilt wood element 24 inches.
