A large Spanish choir book, hand written and hand painted. s. p.: n. p., 1799. Folio (25 1/4 x 18 inches), original full calf boards with brass mounted knobs to front and rear boards. With 117 vellum antiphonal leaves with staff notations in black and red on recto and verso. Elaborate colored initial to first leaf and various leaves with colored initials throughout. Manuscript label II pasted to spine indicating a multi-volume work. Leaves bound together but detached from the spine; some rubbing to the boards with loss at head and foot of spine; lacking original straps; some age darkening and soiling throughout and minor smudging to some painted initials; large tear to the lower corner of approximately 25 pages in the back; intermittent tears at the outside of the page, not affecting the manuscript.
