Nydia Innocenti (French, 20th century). Ceramic bowl with light pink glaze on exterior, interior of bowl with modern sketch style drawing of two female nudes on the ocean with a sailboat in the background at right. Bottom of bowl signed "N_INNOCENTI VALLAURIS". Nydia Innocenti worked with her husband Jacques Innocenti in their ceramics studio in France and spent time in Vallauris, much like Picasso. In 1949, they opened their workshop in Vallauris on the Rue Sicart. Much of her and her husband's work was produced in the late 1940s and throughout the 1950s. Jacques Innocenti died at the age of 32 in 1958. Height of bowl 4.2". Diameter of top 11.5". Provenance: From the Collection of Walter and Alice Glenn, Alpharetta, Georgia.
