Group of three Chinese blue and white kangxi porcelain plates. Each with loose and fluid blue decoration under glaze with accents on rim. All unmarked. Remnants of barnacles on bottom. Diameters range from 6.9" to 7.25". Plates purportedly recovered from the Vung Tau, a ship that sank off the coast of Vietnam in the 17th century. Provenance: According to the consignor, acquired from Christie's Amsterdam in 1992.
