An extra-illustrated set bound with a number of unique items, including a clipped signature of Napoleon affixed to blank leaf; a 2 page signed autograph letter from the Duke of Wellington dated 1843; a 1 page autograph letter from General Eugène Beauharnais dated 1814; a clipped signature of Prince Metternick; a portion of a signed letter including signature of Baron Damas; a receipt signed by the Duc de Champigny; a 1 page autograph letter from Joseph Bonaparte dated 1837; a 2 page unsigned letter addressed to William Hamilton; a signature reading "J. N. Bonaparte" and dated 1823 on cut title page of book; an original bronze medal commemorating the marriage of Napoleon and Marie-Louise dated 1810; two original watercolors and numerous hand-colored folding plates. Corners of bindings bumped; top hinge of vol. 1 partially separated; otherwise a fine set.
