19th century oil on wood board with a rustic view of figures and animals in the countryside. Dirt path on the right weaves to an bright opening at the end of the forest. Small cottage at left with figures outside (man leaning out window) beside two cows who recently pulled a wagon. Another male figure tends to the wagon where an antlered animal is laying, presumably from a hunt. Framed 29.5 inches x 35.5 inches. Unframed 23 inches x 28.25 inches.
