53. 00 mm case diameter, white porcelain dial signed JOSEPH JOHNSON 25 CHURCH STREET LIVERPOOL, painted Roman numerals with outer chapter ring, gilt fleur-de-lys hands, subdial at 6 o'clock for seconds, guilloche finish dial cover with central blank cartouche and guilloche case back, engraved cuvette, gilt plate engraved fusee movement with lever escapement, together with a gold filled fob chain. Case back stamp: S.Hoyt & Co 266 PEARL ST (assay mark) 22739. Cuvette engraved: Presented to Romeo Friganza as a Testimonial of Esteem by the Joiners employed in the Navy Yard New York Nov. 29th 1855.
