Late 19th century. Two matching wood and gesso tall floor columns in Ionic form with gilt and white painted elements including fluting on cylindrical shaft and Ionic scrolling on capital. Wood and gesso columns assembled in three components: capital, shaft and base. Intended to sit against a wall--flattened backs. Height 103.5 inches, width (at widest part of capital) 20 inches, depth 7.5 inches. Provenance: From the Estate of Mr. Thomas V. and Mrs. Marie B. Patton, Atlanta, Georgia.
