THIS LOT IS BEING SOLD WITHOUT RESERVE oil on canvas 46 x 82 cm (18 x 32 in. ) Certified by the artist`s widow L. Frolova-Bagreeva (1980) on verso. Dmitry Krapivny studied at the Odessa School of Art and under Kuzma Petrov-Vodkin and Alexander Savinov at the in Petrograd. Krapivny was also closely allied with Pavel Filonov, working with the Filonov school of artists as of 1927, and exhibiting his works in seminal exhibtions such as (1927).
