German, Late 19th century. Mahogany wood cased Kalliope tabletop music box of rectangular form with hinged lid that opens to reveal music playing mechanism with serial number "58802". Interior of lid with lithograph image of a French couple dancing. Music box accompanied with 15 discs (diameter 9.25"). Box height 6.6", width 11.5", depth 10.6". Provenance: From a Private Collection in Valdosta, Georgia.
