Original, vintage blueprint titled “Fantasy Land Castle Reflected Plans” that details the corbels and brackets of Disneyland’s Sleeping Beauty Castle. Labeled “Disneyland Inc.,” this blueprint was executed by “WED Enterprises, Inc.” The blueprint is dated “2-12-55” and illustrates the details located underneath the castle’s parapets, its 11 towers, and the chapel’s spire. Of note is the corbel and bracket detail of the once-open porch on the north side of the castle. Those details were altered when the open porch was enclosed for the construction of the Sleeping Beauty Castle Walkthrough attraction. Another unique detail visible in this plan is the castle’s historically accurate defense meurtriére, or murder hole, located over the drawbridge’s gateway to Fantasyland.
