A Colt second-generation 45 Long Colt Caliber "Buntline Special" single-action revolver. Serial number 12663S.A. with B.B. # 112 on the bottom of the barrel. This revolver was the property of Louis F. Edelman, who owned the rights to Stuart Lake's book on Wyatt Earp. Edelman was a consultant on the 1950s television series throughout its 226 episodes. Several Buntlines are known to have been presented by Colt to cast and production members, and several were used in the series. This Colt may well letter as shipped to a Hollywood production or individual. Condition is original and near excellent, with virtually no use and some slight staining on the hammer, with minor handling and storage wear.
