The bat contains a color image of Williams toward the end of the barrel with the wording "Theodore 'Ted' Williams/ Boston Red Sox/ 1939-1960/ Outfielder/ The Splendid Splinter" and Williams' career statistics and highlights printed below. The bat is signed "Ted Williams" in blue marker and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Cooperstown Bat Co. issued March 15, 1989, and signed by Williams on February 10, 1989.
