A hand written letter by Honus Wagner dated January 12, 1910 (believed to supposed to have been dated 1911 based on the envelope postmark) written to Samuel F. Myers on J. Hans Wagner Automobile Garage stationary. At that time, Myers managed and played with a New Brighton, Pennsylvania YMCA basketball team who at one time played against a team organized by Baseball Hall of Fame Inductee Honus Wagner. Myers had written Wagner after a basketball owned by Myers was accidently taken by Wagner's team after a game. Wagner replied with this letter that reads "SF Myers./ Dear Sir/ As to regards/ the basketball your/ missing January 10th and/ you have information/ that one of our boys/ took it with them./ If they did I will look it up and/ if I find it I will/ have them return sorry./ Yours Truly/ JH Wagner." The letter is accompanied by an hand written envelope with a J. Hans Wagner return label sent to S.F. Myers in New Brighton, Pennsylvania and postmarked January 13, 1911. The letter is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA and a letter from S.F. Myers grandson. Letter, 8 1/4 by 5 1/2 Categories:
