French, Late 19th/Early 20th century. Carved light grey painted wood oval fire screen with grey silk fabric upholstery on each side with Neoclassical wreath motif. Frame with ornate ribboned floral arrangement at top with eye and dart border and meandering Greek key raised on a tripartite base with fluting, flowers, patera blocks acanthus leaf tips and terminating on scrolled feet. Height 40", width 21.5".
