A Shillelagh, Irish fighting cudgel, presented to Stan Laurel in honor of his 62nd birthday on June 16, 1952. The stick was a gift from fellow comedian Sir Harry Lauder. The words "Irish Lullaby" and "Erin" are carved into the knob end of the wooden stick. The opposite end is carved with an image of a four-leaf clover; also present is a length of green string through a hole drilled to hold a strap. A metal presentation plate affixed to the shaft reads "To Stan/ 62 and still tops/ G.O.H. Belfast/ 16-6-52."
