Mackail (Peter Pauper Press), end paper has "Peg Gustafson September 1944" written in pen, Peg was Garbo's sister-in-law; Baron James : The Rise of the French Rothschilds by Anka Muhlstein (London: Collins) with an inscription on the title page that reads "To my dear aunt Cecile who came and picked her Baron James in person." Cecile refers to Baroness Cecile de Rothschild who was a close friend of Garbo.; Dikter by Viktor Rydberg (Stockholm: Albert Bonniers Forlag) with an inscription in Swedish on the flyleaf that translates to "To Greta Garbo with happy reminders of our walks around Lake Davos.
