The hats include a black and cream hat resembling a court jester's, with fringing, and a handwritten label within that reads "For Phyllis Diller 1969"; a pink straw hat with shimmery pink chiffon overlay and floral design, accompanied by correspondences between Diller and Hudd regarding the hat, some facsimile; a burgundy pillbox hat with feather floral piece, accompanied by a photograph of Diller wearing it; a red and silver military-style cap with a large feather and furniture pieces glued to a plastic car at the top; and a pink hat with cascading pink flowers on the top and down the side.
