A green and grey striped wool dress worn by Jeanne Crain in You Were Meant for Me (20th Century, 1948). The day dress has cotton pique collar and cuffs with green striping, a drop waist, and box pleating to the skirt. The neckline and collar have been modified in post production. A bias label reads "1 18 3 0685 Jeanne Craine." Together with a sky blue silk blouse printed with a bird and floral motif worn by Crain in the same film. There is a Fox cleaning tag and a bias label that reads "1 10 1 2260 J.Crain A-525-14." Costume design by Kay Nelson. Accompanied by a copy of the film. Categories:
