A form-fitting cream satin dress worn by Mamie Van Doren in her role as Clark Gable’s girlfriend in the film Teacher’s Pet (Paramount, 1958). Costume designer for the film was Edith Head. Extensively beaded at bust with multifaceted clear teardrop beads and sequins extending into an all-over pattern of sequins and beads. Similarly accented shoulder straps, built-in bra, and stamped on interior “Property of/ Paramount Pictures/ Corp./ Ladies Wardrobe.” Accompanied by an original vintage black and white publicity image of Gable and Van Doren with publicity snipe on verso and a copy of the film.
