A costume worn in the chariot race scene of Ben - Hur (MGM, 1959). The costume comprises a wool tunic with applique and embroidery work labeled "Casa d'Arte di Firenze," a pair of accompanying briefs, and an attachable draped cape with applique and embroidery trim and a Logan's costume label inscribed "Ben Hur Greek Chariotier." Casa d'Arte di Firenze created costumes for many films in the 1950s and 1960s. Ben - Hur won 11 Academy Awards including Best Picture and Best Costume Design, Color, for Elizabeth Haffenden. Accompanied by a fabric belt inscribed to interior "Logan Costume Co. Ben Hur Greek Chariotier" and a copy of the film. Categories:
