Three wavy black hairpieces custom made for Harpo Marx for an unknown MGM production. The hairpieces are made of human hair and hand tied one strand of hair at a time to a lace mesh with silk bands in the interior to give the appearance of a scalp. Studio wigs at the time were custom made and fitted to measure by the star's head and hairline. The first piece has an MGM label inscribed "928A" and a Max Factor label stamped "3971." The second piece has an MGM label inscribed "928B" and a Max Factor label stamped "4816." The third piece has an MGM label inscribed "928C" and a Max Factor label stamped "3857." With the original box labeled "928ABC Center Part Black-3/4 Modern H.Marx." The wig was acquired from MGM upon the closure of its hair and wig department. Accompanied by woven wig forms.
