A figure-hugging gown worn by Alexis Smith while performing "Just for Now" in the noir film Whiplash (Warner Bros. , 1948). The bodice is black with gold lamé pleated stripes and padded shoulders. The heavy crepe skirt has a drop waistband with a draped gold lamé panel and side slit. The gown has an attached mesh understructure with a Warner Brothers label that reads "1671-681."
