An apricot wool walking dress worn by Betty Grable in The Shocking Miss Pilgrim (20th Century, 1947). The dress has a cream knitted front bodice with scalloped edging and crochet buttons. There is a back bustle with an ecru bow and hand finishing work to the interior. Bias labels read "1 27 7 5901 48712 Betty Grable," "48712 B.Grable" and "1 27 7 5091." A blank Western Costume label is also present. Costume design by Orry-Kelly. Accompanied by two black and white wardrobe test shots of Grable and an original lot tag.
