A key prop from the film The Rainmakers (RKO, 1935) starring Bert Wheeler and Robert Woolsey. Wheeler and Woolsey were a well-known comedy duo during the 1920s and 1930s. The two-piece leatherette case has brass latch closures; the lid has raised brass letters that read "Roscoe The Rain Maker" and opens to reveal working lights, a spinning flyball governor, and a triangular brass antenna. The case has a working hidden motor and two electrical plugs. Includes the key to start the machine, an aluminum magnet with red painted tips.
