A screen worn band member costume from the film The Music Man (Warner Bros. , 1962). Jacket of red cotton with pink felt detail, trimmed with gold ribbon and buttons. Zipper closure at front, typed label in jacket reads "Date 3-61/ Lot 18935/ Size 12 (30 chest)." Accompanied by white trousers with red tuxedo stripe, Hirsch Uniform Co. label and studio label that reads "Date 3-61/ Lot 18935/ size 28 1/2." Also present is a Hirsch Uniform Co. costume hat, brim detached, size 7 1/8. The costume designer for the film was Dorothy Jeakins. Accompanied by a copy of the film. Categories:
